INTRODUCTION

DCI Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. is one of the oldest Pharma Company in Goa, established in the year 1968 as Drugs and Chemical India which is then rechristened as DCI Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd in the year 1974.
The manufacturing site is located at Vidyanagar, on the outskirts of Margao city in the state of Goa-India.
DCI Pharmaceuticals is engaged in manufacturing of small volume parenteral formulation in Ampoules, Ophthalmic preparations & Otic preparations, since 1974.
DCI Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd. site has been accredited with WHO GMP Certification and ISO 13485.

Plant is set up on a plot Area of 3000 sq.mtr. (60 x 50 m)

Manufacturing Facility

DCI Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. is strengthened with well trained, highly experienced competent employees.
The plant is equipped with highly sophisticated machineries both in ampoules section and ophthalmic section. Cleanliness and hygiene assume top priority in the manufacturing facility. All the activities of organisation functions strictly in accordance with well established WHO GMP guidelines.
In Ampoules section, filling is carried by using sophisticated high speed 8 head filling machine synchronized with fully automatic ampoules washing machine, and sterilizing tunnel which operates at a speed of 300 ampoules per minute.
Ophthalmic section is provided with fully automatic bottle filling machine operating with an average speed of speed of 120 bottles per minute and another machine with 60 bottles per minute .
Packing Department is equipped with sophisticated machines for both ampoules as well as ophthalmic section . Ampoule section is provided with high speed sticker labeling machine with an capacity of 250 to 300labels per minute and high speed blister packing machine operating at an average speed of 250 to 300 ampoules per minute whereas Ophthalmic section is provided with sticker labeling machine, cartonating machine and shrink sleeving machine.
Quality of the product is strictly monitored through stringent procedures with the help of independent Quality Assurance department with frequent IPQA inspection and Quality Control department.

Quality Control Department is well equipped with different functional areas viz. Chemical section, Instrumental section, Microbiological section with separate areas for Sterility testing, microbiological testing and sub culturing area. Quality Control department is equipped with sophisticated instruments to name a few like HPLC with auto sampler, FTIR, UV visible spectrophotometer, Auto-Titrator, Karl Fisher instruments, etc and all the instruments are calibrated periodically to check the performance of the instruments.
Quality of the product is monitored by conducting the stability studies at different parameters as per ICH guidelines on the products being manufactured at the site.
Highly experienced Quality Assurance Team is monitoring all the operational activities & processes and assuring the quality product rolling out of the organisation.
Stores department is catering the needs of production department by keeping track on stock of all materials.
A strong Engineering Department team maintains all the machines running uninterruptedly, by conducting timely preventive maintenance.
Manufacturing facility is provided with DM plant from Ion Exchange for generation of Purified Water and Multi column Distillation plant from Kothari Pharma for generation of Water for Injection using aqua Finn technique.

Similarly in Ophthalmology, we have products ranging from
Antibacterial; Combination Analgesic & Antibacterial; Anti-histaminic;
for treatment of glaucoma, Ophthalmic lubricants etc, etc..

We are exporting our products to the following countries;

3) Myanmar
4) Malaysia
Dossier registrations at Zambia are in final stage.
Besides above the registration of our products in many other countries are in process.
We at DCI Pharma, strictly follow Quality Control and Quality Assurance systems as per regulatory requirements of respective countries in which we operate. Our aim is to satisfy the needs of Physicians who prescribes our products and of patients who benefits out of our product.
